NIL policies enable student-athletes to earn fair compensation for the use of their Name, Image, and Likeness in commercial ventures, including brand sponsorships.

Aztec football head coach Sean Lewis has arrived in San Diego to transform SDSU Football — and he’s here to do it AZTEC FAST.
Coach Lewis brings vast experience and an innovative mind to SDSU. Previously head coach at Kent State from 2018-22, he spent last season in Boulder as the offensive coordinator for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. The offense flourished under his leadership, averaging over 80 yards more per game than the previous season.
Coach Lewis’ previous stops also include Syracuse, Bowling Green, and Eastern Illinois. Now, he seeks to transform the 2024-25 Aztecs with his “BE THE A1PHA” system.
“BE THE A1PHA” isn’t merely a locker room rallying cry. It’s the values-based framework underpinning everything Coach Lewis strives to achieve at SDSU — one built with the cornerstones of passion, purpose, and being a little better every day.
