By the time Cam “C Fitty” FitzPatrick was born in 1992, his dad had already been in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for two decades. Along the way, Mr. FitzPatrick met Cam’s mom during a “ski racing thing” (Cam’s words), and so it is that their union — and Cam’s very existence — is owed to the love of the sport.
A long-time head of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Cam’s father struck up a fast friendship with Paul Rice, Travis Rice’s father. It should come as no surprise then that after Cam turned to snowboarding at age six (he first took up skiing at two), the future big-mountain free-ride legend was right there to act as a friend and mentor.
Destiny, right? Regardless, the ride since then has been a wild one for Cam.
Cam’s always done things his way, possessing a rare, singular focus that enables him to stand tall as a peak performer in his sport. And he hasn’t just been slaying the slopes, either — he’s been starring on the screen, too.
Growing up, Cam was enthralled by the films That’s It, That’s All and The Art of Flight. After getting a taste of the trade via participation in Disney’s Cloud 9 in 2014, Cam jumped at the chance to join Travis’s squad of A-list riders in 2016 with the release of The Fourth Phase, the widely celebrated follow-up to The Art of Flight. Since then, his passion for boarding continues to intersect with his fascination with film: his production company “This Is Us In” just premiered BLINK, its fourth snowboard film.
Stunts, style, and the deepest powder white playgrounds you can imagine — Cam FitzPatrick is always living Life in Forward Motion. And it’s not just the world of sports, either. On December 22nd, 2019, he proposed to the love of his life, Rene, in the most perfect atmosphere imaginable.
You’ve had a hell of a go of it so far, Cam, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
